Houma October Nonprofit of the Month: Moms of Hope
This October, EmpowerHer Life Houma is proud to partner with Moms of Hope of the Bayou Region, an organization close to our hearts and vital to our community.
Moms of Hope, established in 2018, provides crucial support to women who have experienced infant loss. They work tirelessly to raise awareness and break the stigma surrounding the loss of an infant before the age of one, always honoring and remembering these precious lives.
How We’re Helping:
- Hope Cards: At our October 9th luncheon, we’ll be writing Hope Cards. These messages of support will be included in Hope Boxes, delivered to hospitals for mothers experiencing infant loss.
- Promoting Awareness: We’ll help spread the word about “Wave of Light” Infant Loss Awareness Celebration. An evening to honor babies taken too soon, featuring a candle lighting and butterfly release on October 20th, 2024
How You Can Help:
- Join us at the October 9th luncheon to write Hope Cards
- Attend or share information about the October 20th event
- Follow and share Moms of Hope’s online support group for mothers
Your support can make a significant difference in a grieving mother’s journey. Let’s come together to show these strong women they’re not alone.
Together, we can bring hope, healing, and understanding to our community.
